Subject: 94 congregations and counting...
Hi everyone,

This Thursday, the bishops and spouses at Lambeth will be marching through London in a show of unity in support of God's mission of global reconciliation and eradicating global poverty. As of this morning, 94 congregations are participating in the Virtual March for the MDGs by using special prayers and bulletin inserts last Sunday and this Sunday to "march" along with them.

It's a great list -- big congregations, small congregations ... even congregations in Canada and Germany! You can check it out by going to www.mdgmarch.org. Seriously, check it out ... it's a really cool list!

There you can also sign up to get an email on Thursday from the Episcopal Public Policy Network for a quick and easy advocacy action you can take to let your elected officials know that you are united with our bishops in your support of the MDGs and expectation that our government do something about them.

We'd love to reach 100 congregations by the end of today. Most of us are watching Lambeth from a distance and can feel pretty disconnected with what is happening there. This is a way for you and your congregation to participate ACTIVELY in one of the most unifying, exciting aspects of the conference. By doing something small to demonstrate that this is one way we all do stand together.

I hope you'll go to www.mdgmarch.org, download what you need for Sunday, click on the link to sign up for the advocacy action with EPPN ... and then email me (offlist, please!) at mkinman@gmail.com so I can add your congregation to the list.

Christ's peace,

Mike+
